Snob Zones

08 December, 2014

snobzonesSnob Zones is a forum for exploring how and why communities keep people out, the social consequences of exclusion (such as rising inequality, housing segregation, suburban sprawl, higher housing costs, etc.) and ways to make communities more accessible to all. The title — taken from the title of Lisa Prevost’s new book —  refers to highly restrictive zoning practices, often called snob zoning, that discourage development of higher-density and/or multifamily housing.
